A 2016 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. It is intended to be the eighth installment in the X-Men film series. In an effort to cure his cancer, former special forces operative Wade Wilson was subjected to an experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, disfigured skin, an unstable mind, and a 'dark, twisted' sense of humor. Armed with new abilities and a new identity, Wilson hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
